Calculation accuracy
Results may contain errors or rounding differences. Please independently verify calculations used for important decisions.
Small questions, simple answers.
How do I edit a calculation?
Tap the expression or pencil icon. Move the cursor, select the part you want to change, then use the keypad. The expression stays visible above the answer. Finish editing with the checkmark.
Why does the number change when I press +, −, × or ÷?
While you type, the large display shows the current entry. Choosing an operator shows a subtotal for the calculation so far. Press = for the final answer. Standard precedence applies: powers first, multiplication and division next, then addition and subtraction.
How do the three memories work?
Tap an empty memory slot to save. Tap a filled slot to recall its value. Hold a memory on iPhone or iPad, or open the three-dot memory panel, to save a new value, add with M+, or clear the slot. In the latest release, you can also save a subtotal after choosing an operator.
Where is my calculation history?
Tap the clock icon. Running calculations are kept as you choose operators; = saves the final answer. Tap an entry to edit it again. History and memories stay on your device when you close the app. Clearing a calculation with AC does not erase saved history or memories.
How do percentages work?
% divides the preceding value by 100. For example, 200 × 10% = 20. To add 10% to 200, enter 200 × 1.10 = 220. To take 10% off, enter 200 × 0.90 = 180. This is mathematical percentage notation; 200 + 10% means 200 + 0.1.
Where are scientific functions and number bases?
Open Scientific for trigonometry, powers, roots, logarithms and more. Choose DEG for degrees or RAD for radians, and use parentheses around function inputs. STD is the normal calculator. DEC, HEX and OCT use exact signed 64-bit whole-number arithmetic; division truncates toward zero and mod gives the remainder.
Can I turn sounds or animation off?
Yes. Open Settings to choose soft button sounds, haptics and Bunny animation. On iPhone and iPad, sounds respect silent mode and animation follows Reduce Motion.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. The calculator works offline without an account, ads or analytics. Your calculations and memories are stored locally. See our privacy policy for details.
Will deleting the app remove my numbers?
Deleting the app removes its local history, memories and preferences, subject to your device’s backup and restore settings. Save any important numbers elsewhere first. Local data does not automatically sync between your devices.
